Ganes Creek is 25 miles west of McGrath, which is 221 miles northwest of Anchorage, Alaska. Click here for a location map. You must provide for your own air travel. Flights to Anchorage are available from most major airlines. Flights from Anchorage to McGrath, Alaska are available from Peninsula Air for approximately $420 with two week advance booking. If you ask for "lodge rate" while booking your flight you will save $30 to $40 per ticket. Flights leave Anchorage at 8:00 AM and arrive in McGrath at 9:00 AM. The return from McGrath leaves at 9:30 AM and arrives in Anchorage at 10:30 AM. We will provide travel details when you contact us.
A short charter flight from Redline Air will then take you from McGrath to Ganes Creek. A roundtrip fare for one person is $140. We are arranging for the flights with Redline Air, so they will meet you in McGrath when you arrive. Note that it may be wise to figure a one day layover in Anchorage on your return trip. If there is any delay due to weather leaving Ganes Creek connections might be missed to the Lower 48. So when leaving Ganes Creek Saturday you may want to figure a stay in Anchorage Saturday night with a Sunday departure.
