Penair flight from Anchorage to McGrath, ask
for the "Ganes Creek" or "Clark-Wiltz" lodge
rate. The "lodge rate" is a discounted ticket of
$392 offered to Clark Wiltz Mining and our
clients that will save you a little money on
your flight. The reservation must be made over
the phone through Penair's reservation center

Ganes Creek Alaska
The opportunity of a lifetime! Your chance to metal detect for large gold
nuggets on Alaska's largest, premier nugget producing creek. Ganes
Creek, Alaska. The largest nugget found at Ganes Creek weighed 122
ounces - over ten troy pounds!
Ganes Creek has produced over 250,000 ounces of gold... and much of
that gold includes some of the largest nuggets ever found in Alaska.
Thousands of acres of tailing piles contain nuggets lost by bucketline
dredges and inefficient bulldozer operations of the past. The chances
of finding very large nuggets at Ganes Creek with a metal detector are
some of the best in Alaska. Roads and trails run the length of the
operations, making for easy access. Take some time and check out
pictures from previous years and Weekly Updates from past seasons.
Over the last ten years over 1,700 ounces of gold were found by
prospecting metal detectorists on the Ganes Creek property!
